Fantastic Season Ahead!

Once again the organising committee of the Junior Events has been busy planning a jam packed season of great rides.

With last years events being so popular, we will be running a similar format this year.

The season will kick off with the BIG Riding Skills & Coaching day at Bannister in April, then with the weather gods on our side we will eventually get to run the Short Course Enduro at Kirup in May.

We have a couple of new properties north of Perth this year, which will give riders more experience with a variety of terrain.

In total 6 competitive events will make up the 2010 T&E Junior Offroad Riding Championship, plus plenty of non-competitive & coaching days in between.

Participation is still an important part of events with all riders going in the draw for some fantastic spot prizes from the many sponsors who support the Junior Offroad Riding Events.

All Event Information & online entry will be available on the website approximately 4 weeks prior to each event.

Our Sponsors -

KTM has once again offered their support to the Junior Offroad Riding Events.

Their range of junior motorcycles are really well suited to our style of offroad riding, and it was great to see so many riders test riding bikes and making the switch to KTM.

All of our sponsors have once again offered their valuable support for the coming season, so when it comes time to buy some new equipment, please support the sponsors, that support your sport.

Class Changes -

125/250 - We have decided to split the 125 & 250 4st class as last year we were at maximum numbers at every event. At this stage the split will be aged based, most likely 13 & 14 years together and 15 & over together. As with all classes it is your age as at the 1st Jan. Hannah will do a few comparisons to work out the fairest split. This will be advertised prior to the first event in May.

Girls class – The bike capacity will change this year, most likely to include 80cc -150cc 4st. The aim is to create a class the girls feel comfortable in, whilst still riding competitively.

Siblings class – New for 2010 – We listen to you! Many parents asked if there was a way of allowing riders over 16 years of age to ride on a Junior day. After many discussions with Motorcycling WA we have worked out a way. The basics are 16 -18 years, max 250 4st capacity and all riders must have a sibling entered into the event. The exact details will be described under the riders information section of the website shortly.

Camping Out

As always parents & riders are welcome to camp at the majority of events. It is a great way for the family to spend some time together, and the kids have a ball sitting around the campfire and telling each other about the days riding adventures.

Parents Help

These events don’t happen without the help of a large number of volunteers.

We would encourage all parents to get involved and become part of the Junior Offroad Riding scene.

It's easy, you’ll have fun, and your kids will appreciate it.

We look forward to seeing you at an event soon
